Reid through out his career has constantly fought for the rights of interests of children, families, and workers in education. Reid has worked in hiring more qualified teachers in Nevada and has fought for the patient’s Bill of Rights as well as increased funding for cancer research, suicide prevention and mental health initiatives. Reid has also worked on keeping Nevada’s environment clean and improving upon it. He has done this by establishing programs to preserve clean air and water, especially in the Lake Tahoe region. Harry Reid has also been active in a multiple of Committee’s. He has been a member of the Special Committee on Aging, Appropriations, Environment and Public Works, a select committee on Ethics. He has also had the Vice Chair on Indian Affairs.I feel that Harry Reid is apart of the libertarians. He is an easygoing man who feels that freedom is the key. He only really wants to step in on key issues that affect a lot of people. I doesn’t want interfere, but his goal is to help. People become aware of problems and helping to try to fix them....
