The canadian bureaucracy

s of conduct and conflict-of-interest bills,four reports and numerous guidelines for MPs have piled up in Parliament. Not one hasmanaged to become law. The current Special Joint committee on code of conduct issupposed to table a report by June 21 but the committee seems as doomed as itspredecessors. 4Perhaps the Bill could be stalled indefinitely while infection grows larger andstronger. With our current system of government changing every four years it seemsplausible that the only way to stop the afore mentioned insanity be perhaps the warmeasures act. Such a sentiment catching on within the bureaucracy would require years ofcleansing, perhaps even decades to exterminate such sentiments from within the cracks ofgovernment. In fact, if there is even a semblance of such sentiments entering thegovernment bureaucracy, the politicians would be foolish not to take action immediately.Upon initially examining the Bureaucracy it seemed ridiculous to assume that itcould be an affront to our Democratic system. Every diagram produced about ourdemocratic system is triangular in shape with the Prime Minister at the head. Althoughonce investigated it does not seem so farfetched the possibility of Bureaucratic control ofour leading politicians. The lack of elected checks and balances to the Bureaucraciesmovements makes them a fully functional entity of the Canadian government. Even ourpowerful house of commons could be brought to its knees. Bureaucrats are possible foesto Canadian democracy, the risk is realistic. Any head that looses control of its body andsenses will ultimately loose control and the body will wither, perhaps even because ofvirus. In conclusion though it is very far fetched there is a possibility our Bureaucratscould affect our democracy. Perhaps not individually but if the banded together asignificant hindrance could be created. However, the author has a very low opinion ofbureaucrats and feels their individual or group volatility ...
