In studies of the developmental cognitive processes of children's dreams, for instance, it has been found that the increasing complexity of children's dreams parallel waking cognitive development. In terms of dream content, the overall results of this study are very similar to those for the same age group in a six-year longitudinal study of 24 Swiss children(12 girls, 12, boys) that uses the Hall and Van De Castle coding system to analyze the date. The main difference is that there is less aggression in the dreams of the Swiss children.Referenceshttp://psych.ucsc.edu/dreams/Findings/12-13.htmlAllport, G(1942).
