Hypnosis is a state of intense relaxation and concentration, in which the mind becomes remote and detached from everyday cares and concerns. In this relaxed state the subconscious part of the mind is best able to respond creatively to suggestion and imagery. It can focus on the things you wish to change and on the ways you can best do so, free from analytical or anxious thoughts. You are, however, not asleep nor are you unconscious. You are in an altered or alternative state of consciousness in which you 'let things happen' through your subconscious mind rather than trying to make them happen with your conscious mind. Because you are deeply relaxed, the suggestions given to you by the hypnotist will be acted upon more easily by the subconscious. Most of the people don't really know much about hypnosis and people who know about it have different views when they think about hypnosis. One of the main doubts people have is whether it works or not. I agrue that it works and it is really helpful for all. I have good knowledge and background in this subject as I took a course in hypnosis for two years under the guidance of Predeep Agarwalla and I have read a great deal on in it. I have been using hypnosis from past three years and I would like to tell a personal experience that clearly demonstrates the way hypnosis has affected my life.In India we consider 10th grade as a school. I came out with an average grade from school. In the summer holidays I went to the hypnosis workshop for two days to learn more about the mind control. Before, in my 10th grade I was always scared of exams because if I don't get good grades, my mom would be really barmy at me. Now after learning hypnosis I usually ease my angst.
