s people to learn to change bad habits and take better care of themselves. The limitations are few but important. The first limitation that is listed is “Environmental Reductionism”. This is the thought process that with the learning perspective anyone can be shaped in any type of environment. Another limitation is “The error of assuming that if something is learned it can easily be changed.” This is really nott he case though. When a person is influenced by genetics then those behaviors may be changed slowly, but when a person is taught something over and over again and it is learned then this is almost impossible to change. For example when a person has an eating disorder like bulimia where they throw up every time they eat then eventually this will become a learned behavior. From this learned behavior a person even if they want to stop what they are doing have taught themselves s to be sick every time they eat. So the throwing up will be a difficult action to stop. The last limitation that is in the learning perspective is the “Oversimplification in applying learning techniques”. When people try to teach a learning perspective or apply to an everyday lifestyle then it becomes oversimplified to those who may not understand it. The rewards process is usually misapplied given out for the wrong things. A reward should only be given out for a behavior that is trying to be increased. The learning perspective is something that can be used in an everyday life and is by doctor’s parents and teachers. People use it with out even realizing it most of the time. This is why when people say they disagree with it they usually don’t because in all actuality they probably use it with their kids in teaching them the wrongs and the rights....
