With that in common, there is some value impetus towards achieving success in this endeavor. Environmental FactorsThe DAPC meets monthly in the conference room of the region office. The meetings can last up to 3 hours and generally begin around 9:00 am. The members travel from all areas of the district and the 9:00 am start time allows for the travel. The membership usually take at least 1 and sometimes 2 informal 10 minute breaks. The impending lunch hour works as the motivator for conclusion of the meeting. There have been times that discussion would have extended the meetings without the need for nourishment bringing it to a close. I wouldnt say that this was by design, but it is effective.The room arrangement utilizes rectangular tables positioned to create a box design with seating around the perimeter. This design utilizes the resources at hand and is relatively effective. Each members viewpoint holds equal weight in this structure, so the all-channel communication pattern is re-enforced by the seating arrangement. Even with the seating arrangement, it is naturally assumed that the tables at the front of the room are power positions, but the dispersion of members in their prospective seats seems to vary from month to month, so a power seating structure is not re-enforced.The group size o...
