tic depression is when the person breaks from reality they experience delusions associated with guilt or self blame. They have extreme symptoms of mild depression and often become acutely hypochondriacs. Depressive stupor is when the person is no longer to get out of bed they do not speak or move. They will not respond to the world and must be spoon-fed to be kept alive.One suggestion as to why women are more likely to be depressed then men has to do with the fact that women put more weight on relationships then men, they define their femininity through their relationships. Where me define their masculinity through separateness. Men also substitute alcohol for treatment for their depression. Hormonal differences play and social roles also play a part. Margarita tells us that her relationship with her husband was not a good one she also said that she depended on him.
