smiling While reviewing the Activity Handbook for Teaching Psychology, volume 1 we became interested in the social psychology experiments. While reviewing these experiments we came across project 67 by Joan W. Walls. The basic concept of this project is based on the expression of emotions between the sexes, non-verbal communications and the power of it. In the write up of this experiment Joan W. Walls used smiling as an example of one way to explore people’s emotions and reactions to us as experimenters without actually having to talk to them. The reason that we found this experiment to be particularly interesting because all three of us seem to be happy all the time and like to smile a lot, therefore we thought this experiment sounded like it would fit us quite well. The purpose of this experiment is to complete the project successfully and write a full report on the reactions and responses that we received. This will help us gain a better understanding of the human responses to non-verbal communication and psychology as a whole. When the report is finished we will hand it in to Professor Moulds and hopefully get a darned good grade of it. The nature of this experiment was to go to a public place, confront people that we did not know, and make eye contact with them. After this goal was accomplished we either smiled at them or we did not smile at them, and recorded their reaction to our gesture. From this information we were to draw a conclusion that would summarize the different Bibliography:
