Are You Sure About What You Say? Lewis arguments.Many things can sound good when you say them, and for the most part make sense. Why then dont we give people chances or sit back a watch to see what happens. In the following I will explain my thoughts on what could happen if you dont look at everything in the idealistic way.Just because someone talks about a man with high ideals doesnt mean that a person will automatically think he or she cannot share or think about the same high ideals with another person. For one, many people think alike, and could possibly think about the same things. I know for a fact that there are some people out there that when they see a person doing something different or something they have never seen before and could be interested in, they ask questions to find out more about it. I am not saying in any way that a person will always be interested in the same thing, but there is always that possibility. Even complete opposites may think alike on one thing or another.Lewis goes on to say, perfect behavior may be as unattainable as perfect gear changing when we drive. That may be true for the people that arent very good at driving or that cannot drive at all. What then, about those people that can drive better than average, like professional racecar drivers? To them, switching gears is second nature. They could probably do it better than any average person, blind folded. Now you could say that there are some special circumstances, but arent racecar drivers just normal people like you and me? Yes, they have special skills, but so does everyone. Racing is their job, but then what about a basketball player, or a banker? They may be that best at what they do, but it might not be perfect in someone elses eyes. Take the basketball player for example. Someone watching him may think that he has the worst shot, and that no way could it be perfect. Although for the player, his shot might be perfect for h...
