Believe
Believe Isn’t it grand? So many people uniting, laughing loudly, and enjoying life now that they have recognized the path of salvation; too bad life was not always this grand. You, know, living now is much different than it was a few years ago. After the show of power God exhibited in raising his son the Lord Jesus Christ after they crucified Jesus in Jerusalem so many people, both Jewish Christian and Christian Gentiles alike, followed the Messiah, the Leader, the Lord, the Judge. And, why not? After all, it was through Jesus that eternal life would be granted. Think about the talk heard in all of the villages…”Hey, did you here? God raised His son from the dead!” Everyone was talking about it and those that were not would hear about it soon enough since Jesus’ message was being spread through the land like wild fire. To say that Jesus’ crucifixion was a great thing places a level of discomfort in my gut, but I am not afraid to say that the resurrection was an unbelievably crucial moment in God’s plan for His Creation, and thus the crucifixion can be said to also be part of His plan. Because of the awe, amazement, and plain old curiosity that developed after hearing of Jesus’ resurrection, the spread of faith engulfed the countryside for good. To believe in Jesus meant that you believed in God. Why? Well, it was because of God that Jesus was raised from the dead, right? Therefore, to believe in Jesus means that you believe in God. This thought brought about the possibility for expansion of God’s power and presence from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. Jesus brought about believers. He served as a directive force in their lives. He healed so many. He taught so many. He judged so many. Jesus was sitting at the right hand of God. Responsibility of certain task shifted to Jesus. So many people now believe. So many are baptized to confirm their beliefs and thus, are placed in the right relationship with God through their belief in Jesus. God will save them because of it- because of Jesus. Did you not know that this was God’s plan all along? Surely you must have. God had planned all along to save all of humanity. Humanity is His creation; ultimately He must want what’s best for it. Through God’s wisdom and grace, Jesus was brought to the people, and transformed Jews and Gentiles alike into true God’s people. Think of the strength of God’s Creation now that everyone knows they can be part of God’s plan. No longer must you be Abraham’s son, but merely Adam’s son, thus God’s son. Everyone, thanks to Jesus, now understands that if they believe, if they are healed of sin, then God will save them. Jesus does great things for God’s people. God does great things for His people. Where would Creation be without Jesus though? Impossible to answer, but safe to say, not anywhere near where we are today. God promised a Messiah and He delivered as He always does. Jesus is a part of God’s master plan to save all people. Thank God! Bibliography:
