In the case of the other story the deities who reined the terror on the earth were unaware of the consequences they had made for them selves. This story stated that the gods stopped in amazement with what they have done. Because of the god Ea, live was saved. This one god, in this incident, saved all of mankind for future generations to come. The deities in both cases are wrathful when it comes to the behavior of the beings they prevail over. When a human, in this case, does something their god doesn't like, they are punished, but for those that are good and do the will of their god they are rewarded for all their doings. Men and Gods are on a very different level. In the Christian religion man and god are of the same form but the difference in power and knowledge are major differences in their levels. However, in many other religions man tends to praise animal and superhuman gods, not of the same for of themselves. Both of these stories tell man, no matter what religion he or she may be that disobeying their god will bring them wrath and disorder in their society.
