Instead, Schindler learns to manipulate officers, convincing one that he is certain to come to more power if only he would “pardon” his prisoners once in a while, instead of always turning to brutality.When the war reaches its climax, the Nazis realize that the time has come for the complete and final extermination any remaining Jews. This becomes Schindler’s finest hour. Staying up all night with his faithful plant manager, the two prepare a list of hundreds of names, men and women that Schindler will insist must stay under his direction.
