There are things is this world that people don’t want to acknowledge. For example, scientists don’t want to acknowledge that faith and God exist. They claim that they need to have scientific proof in order to believe that either faith or God exists in this world. Today’s societies are full of skeptics and ignorance when it comes to faith and God. People have known that god and faith are present on this earth. Faith is believing and trusting in God. It is having confidence and knowledge that God is on your side. Faith is something we can’t touch, smell, taste, hear, or see. Individuals have to believe in there hearts that God exist because the bible tells us so. People shouldn’t need scientific evidence to believe that faith exist because our source of knowledge of faith and God is the bible. Faith is gained through the knowledge of the word of God. Knowledge is gained through reading and believing what the word of God says about faith. In order to have faith we have to have knowledge. Knowledge is understanding through experience. We gain knowledge through older and wiser people, going to college, and listening to others that know more that ourselves. For example when Jesus was a child to twelve he and his parents went to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover. Jesus stayed behind, without his parent’s knowledge, at the temple courts listening and asking questions of the teachers. They were amazed by the questions and answers that Jesus gave. From that moment on he grew wiser and popular among men. People can use Jesus as a role model when is comes to gaining knowledge from older and wiser men. Through the word of God we gain knowledge of faith. Although knowledge and faith are two different things they go hand and hand because faith seeks knowledge. Knowledge is one of the tools of faith. Through faith and knowledge we gain understanding that faith exist. Knowing is a key point in faith and knowledge. Knowing is to have knowledge. Knowing something is developed through our five senses: taste, smell, touching, seeing, and hearing. For example if today was a bright, sunny and cool in Northwest Park off of 249, this could be known by someone who lives in the neighborhood and walks outside of their front or back door. With their five senses they can determine that the weather is pleasant out. When a person knows a subject they have information or supporting evidence on it just like the person in, Northwest Park, who walks outside of their home. Knowing is having information, thus having knowledge. Believing is a key concept in faith. To have faith is to believe. When believing in something you accept the word of another. One example of believing is a Christian believing that Jesus rose from the dead and is one with God. An individual cannot prove that Jesus rose from the dead or prove it through scientific reasoning. A person cannot even prove it through having pictures that we can see or a witness that we can talk to in person. All we have of this knowledge is the bible. It is up to the individual to believe and accept this second hand resource that was written by man. Scientists who do not believe in God, the creator, say that the world came about through a “big bang”. Other ideas of evolution have been put on the table, such as people evolving from monkeys over a period of time. People are fascinated by scientific ideas and what can be proved through scientific reasoning. Most people that don’t except the word of God usually agree with the scientist. If they don’t agree with the scientist than usually they don’t believe in God or faith because neither can be proved scientifically. Although this is true, it is up to the individual to take a leap of faith and believe that the bible was not made by aliens or a group of people playing games on each other, but was inspired by God and written by man and given to us to receive salvation through its words. This seems far-fetched but because this earth is full of death and pain, we as humans need something bigger than we are to hold on too. This something would be faith in God, which is believing that God is the creator of man, and he sent is only son Jesus to die on the cross for us. Even the Native Americans believed in a higher power than themselves and they didn’t have any prove to support their believes. Persons that say that they don’t need faith or God and support the ideas of the scientist are the people that have the most problems in this modern world. The five senses of humans only work for the material things of this world. The five human senses don’t work on God because he is not of this earth. Yes, he made this earth but God cannot be tasted, touched, seen, or smelled, but he can be heard. When God is heard it is called revelation. In order to hear him, people must have faith and believe that he does exist, even if God can’t be proven through scientific reasoning that he is in existents. The theories that scientist have come up with have not been proved and will probably never be proved through scientific reasoning. Thus, making scientific theories of evolution exactly what they are theories. Theology is very important when speaking of faith, knowledge, knowing, and believing. It is the study of God and the relationship between God, mankind, and the universe. When studying God all that man really has is the bible to go by. There are no pictures, scientific prove or first hand documents written by God that can prove that he is among man or even existed. All that is available is our faith and believe that he exists. When having faith man obeys what he is told by God. Instead of man following its flesh man is saying yes to God and following God and obeying his commandment for their lives. When man follows his faith he is gaining humility, which is important when obeying, and following God. Man must not have pride but only love for God. Basically man must submit his will and intellect to God and do what he is told to do. The things in this world that go beyond human reasoning and the things in this world that people don’t acknowledge we always exist even if man will not believe. Those that need scientific proof that faith and God exist will always lack in their lives. They will always be a void that only the love God can fill. Bibliography: none Word Count: 1147
