moral fibers
moral fibers God’s creatures have been evolving since the beginning of time, not only physically and mentally, but morally as well. Man started out with very few morals. Cain is the perfect example of this. When Cain killed his brother, Cain felt no remorse and was upset when God punished him. Although much better than Cain, Sarah is yet another example of one who lacks morals, “After I have grown old and my husband has grown old, shall I have pleasure.” (Genesis 18:12) This is an example of Sarah’s lack of morals when she defies the Lord and laughs at him. Sarah further shows her lack of morals when she lies to God, “I did not laugh.” (Genesis 8:15). The ‘moral fiber’ starts to improve though as time progresses. Abraham’s willingness to give up his first born to God, although not showing a great moral sense physically, shows a magnificent moral sense spiritually. Abraham was willing to overcome all of his personal thoughts and problems just to be with God. That’s a big start, if not a big leap in the step towards moral perfection. Man went from killing his own brother without remorse to a willingness to give up all for God. That shows great evolution of the moral fiber of man. Bibliography:
