Buddhism is a religion of eastern and central Asia growing out of the teaching of Guatama Buddha that suffering is inherited in life and that one can be liberated from it be mental and moral self-purification (Webster-Merriam). In the Buddhist countries they don’t necessarily have a certain time they have to pray nor is it with a community or a group of people. They usually practice solitary worship, instead of church they pray at their homes or in a temple. This religion also does not match up to the definitions given in Webster-Merriam or Encarta. Judaism is a religion developed among the ancient Hebrews and characterized by belief in one transcendent God who has revealed himself to Abraham, Moses, and The Hebrew prophets and by a religious life in accordance with scriptures and rabbinic traditions (Webster-Merriam).
