A Hindu Utopia

his solid belief in specialized labor and division of working communities, More composed an island whos value system surrounded a set of strong metaphysical beliefs.. Similar to the Hinduism, More had a very open idea about religion, assuming that any well suited, rational being would come to realize the truth. Like Hindus, some individuals who live in the cities worship a variety of Gods. The vast majority of Utopians, however, and amongst these all the wisest, believe nothing of the sort: They believe in a single power (More96). This is almost exactly like the Hindu system. Those of lower classes, and undereducated, tend to run around worshiping all kinds of symbolic Gods, but those of wisdom, in the class of Brahman, know that there is only one reality and that reality is God. Just as the Hindu caste system requires belief in reincarnation for it to run smoothly, Mores community required a belief in an afterlife. Both Hindus and Utopians believed in Karma. Although More did not label it as such when he stated,. they believe that after this life vices will be punished and virtue be rewarded, (More 98) it is clear that this universal law of cause and effect is not avoided by More when develops his notions of a perfect island. More summarizes his overall view on religion almost identical with those of the Hindu tradition, Though there are varies religionsall of themagree in the main point, which is worship of divine nature; they are like travelers going to a single destination by different roads (More 104).In conclusion, I would like to recount some of the main points outlined in this essay. Utopias, first and foremost, have a set goal that all members are willing to strive for. Hindus use liberation from the cycle of birth and rebirth as their core, just as Mores Utopians focus on a blissful afterlife. Though both cultures have different goals, their structure rests on almost identical ideals. Both communities implement a social cast...
