The important thing for them to know is that alcoholism is not a lifestyle choice. It is a disease, an actual impairment of the body's health that prevents the person from functioning normally and causes pain not only to the alcoholic, but also to family and friends. Alcoholism may have been one of the hardest things to deal with in Wades life, but without the support of his loved ones he was a flawed man with nothing....
