Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and its Effects on Society

not knowing if something they say will trigger one of their students to turn violent. Realizing that the government funds public schools every student of their respective jurisdiction should have the right to attend their local school. In this case the city was justified in their actions, this kid was a walking time bomb ready to explode. Staying with this kid, once he becomes of age then hes in everyday society like you and me what protection do we have against his violent outbursts. I feel we are defenseless because we have no way of knowing what this person is capable of doing to our family or us. I realize the love this mother must have for her child; but her love can not save anyone from an attack that he may decide he wants to launch. This is why we must take a more serious look at ADHD as opposed to treating it as just another uncommon disease. I feel this is a more curable disease than say AIDS their must be more research, and studies completed to find the root causes of this serious disorder. The use of drugs such as Ritalin, Centedrin, and Rubifen must be eliminated and more natural medicines need to be used. Remember this illness is mostly detected in children and those aforementioned drugs are much too strong and have proven damaging side effects to healthy growth and production in children. There has to be more understanding by all involved parties when a child has been detected with ADHD, I support not alienating the child in the early years while trying to instill confidence and build support mechanisms. Although we must also realize if the child is not responding, we have to have them surrounded by others like themselves. This way we can diminish the likelihood that these individuals will become serious threats to our society. Lastly, this is a situation that a complete stranger can be of assistance to help solve the problem. Society has to have a bet...
