The Berlin Airlift was the United States Supply planes that landed in West Berlin every ninety seconds to deliver supplies.Eisenhowers Policies were more effective towards the actual start of the Cold War. President Eisenhower passed the Massive Retaliation Policy. In this policy the United States threatened it would use atomic weapons on the Soviets. The Brinkmanship Policy followed it, which was the actual threat to attack the Soviets with nuclear power. President Eisenhower established the CIA. The CIA was a secret service, which acted as the eye of the government. The CIA also planned the Cuban dictator Fidel Castros assassination. Eisenhower made the U-2 policy for the United States spy planes to fly and spy over the Soviet territory.During JFKs presidency, the Soviet government formed allies with Cuba, also changing it into a communist country. A Cuban Missile Crisis came up to the stand. The Soviets were building a nuclear missile in Cuba without the United States knowledge. The United States warned them to stop, but they chose to break their agreement. Kennedy decided to take action against this event. He took out 100 U.S. warships around Cuba and made a non-war blockade. The Soviet government immediately ceased the building of the missile. In conclusion, at the end of the Cold War the United States built a very strong and unbeatable defense system and defense weapons....
