days, and on September 13, 1996, at 4:03 PM, Tupac was pronounced dead. During the last year of Tupacs life, he made mention to many people that he wasnt going to live very much longer. He stepped up his charity work and pleaded with children not to go down the road that he had traveled, telling them that there were other ways for them to escape the streets instead of becoming a victim to them. Although it isnt certain whether or not Tupac gave his life over to the Lord, he spoke frequently of God and his love for Him. Tupac really had become a changed man, living up to the promises he made instead of forgetting about them as most people expected him to. And still to this day, people refuse to give credit to this man for the good things he did for the underprivileged and for the message of hope and love he brought. Many only remember the songs in which he glorified thug life and choose to forget his later work in which he denounced his past and the life of the street, and because of this, Tupac has never been recognized for his true self. 7.When people see pictures of him now, they see his tattoos and his imposing looks, they dont look into his eyes and see the desperation burning there for children who never have chances to live a normal life. They see a rugged tough man and ignore the sensitivity that 25 years of life had taught him. But when I see him, when I look at pictures of him I see the man who wrote the following two poems. The first titled In The Event of my Demise, which says this: In the event of my demise, when my heart can beat no more, I hope that I die for a principle or a belief that I had lived forI will die before my time, because I feel the shadows depthSo much I wanted to accomplish before I reached my deathI have come to grips with the possibility and wiped the last tear from my eyesI loved all who were positive, in the event of my demise.The second poem, titled And Tomorrow, goes like this:Today is filled with ...
