that God has given all humans freewill. This is the cause of human error. Because we havefree will, humans are able to make choices and decisionsfree from the influence of God. Sometimes free willinterferes with Gods ability to help humans and thereforehumans sometimes make poor decisions. If God did not givehumans free will than God would play a direct role in everydecision made by humans. It is because God gives humansfree will that allows for human error.Descartes Fifth and Sixth Meditations begins with theestablishment of his remaining doubts and the application ofwhat he has discovered. The first question deals with theessence of color, mathematical, and geometrical truths. Thesecond is the existence of people and things. The third isdetermining the difference between dreams and reality. Descartes reiterates that God is not an evil deceiver andtherefore he can clearly conceive something to be true. Hereiterates that if he conceives God correctly then God isperfect. Imperfection is not compatible with Godsomnipotence. A non-existent thing cannot be perfect. Evena non-existent perfect thing is imperfect and all perfectthings are perfect. Descartes also restates that a perfectthing cannot deceive. With this knowledge, Descartesproceeds to solve his second problem. The existence of corporeal(physical things) exist withcertainty. Since God is not an evil deceiver, the idea ofphysical things is accurate. Although some perceptions willstill be blurry and may confuse Descartes objects do indeedexist. He concludes that he just has to be more judgmentalof those perceptions. But as concerns other things, which are eitheronly particular, as,, for example, that the sun isof such a size and shape, etc., or are perceivedless clearly and distinctly, as in the case oflight, sound and pain and so on, although they arevery doubtful and uncertain, nevertheless, fromthe fact alone that God is not a deceiver, and hasconsequently permitt...
