Guns of August

nything I would dream of reading in my free time. Beginning the book was rather hard, it could have been my attitude, it could have beenthe book itself, or it could have been both. All I can remember was that it seemed like ittook an eternity to just read one page. But as I went along, and started to really absorbthe information, I started to enjoy reading this book more. Truthfully, it is not myfavorite book, and I would not want to read it again unless I was forced to. But, that doesnot sway the fact that I learned things by reading “The Guns of August.” Before readingthis I never really understood or knew that facts surrounding or the reason for World WarI. All I knew was that the Germans had something to do with it and they lost. This bookhas really opened my eyes and now I can understand why people would look at mestrangely when I asked.. “Wait, World War I was the one WITHOUT the Nazi’s right?”...
