Piercing

bleeding occurs with the piercing and manual pressure is applied. Recently, there has been a lot of discussion about the piercing gun versus the needle. Piercing guns have been used for years in mall and department stores for piercing people of all ages. Today, though, professional body piercers want to see the gun banned. Sterility is just one of the possible problems with gun piercing. Tissue trauma is another. The gun forces a blunt stud through the skin, causing it to literally rip in order to make room for the jewelry. Then, it pinches the back of the jewelry in place snugly against the skin, allowing no way for the new wound to breathe and heal properly. The customer is then told to turn the jewelry a couple times a day, which only further pushes growing bacteria into the wound, causing infection. 4-Jewelry: Jewellery used in body piercing must be made of materials that can be sterilised by autoclaving before insertion, eg. surgical steel and gold. Jewellery must also be suitable for the area pierced eg. Gemstones and some gold or silver alloy bead rings are not suitable for genital piercing. Cheap imported garbage on the market now contaminte the wearer permanently!2) Why piercing ? DESPITE needling from parents, sports officials and authority figures, celebrities, athletes, and now teens and adults are taking the body-piercing trend to another level. Once associated with punk rockers, bikers and prison inmates, body-piercing is now popular with middle-class adults in all occupations, including some doctors like psychiatrist Walter Shervington, who has a pierced ear.
