This research also demonstrates the biases that can occur in judgment about one’s self, especially when there is a lack of knowledge. Research, both past and present, has provided much support for the presence and of affect attributional and judgment biases. Attributional biases affect the way people interpret and perceive their own actions and the actions of others. Judgment biases, by affecting one’s reasoning and decision making skills, also affect the way in which people explain the world around them.
