In New England the economy was not extremely important, but the average person here was wealthier than the average person in England.The New England and Chesapeake regions were vastly different, even though they were settled by the same country. The people in New England had a plan for their society, more money than their counterparts in England, and were a city on a hill. In contrast the Chesapeake region was acting as just a colony of England, had a tobacco economy, and they just brought random people over. These people had no job, money, or possibly had never had a job. These people also didn’t want to do a bit of work here....
