coals from the smothering fire and accidentally set the house on fire. The characters of The Land I Lost are definitely the most important and interesting factor of this book I personally did not care for this book very much. I think it was a little slow at some parts and wasn't actually at the seventh grade reading level. I thought it was kind of strange how it wasn't really a continuous story, but many different stories within it, which I didn't expect. I appreciated the details of each separate story. I would really only recommend Nhoung's book to someone who is looking for a quick, easy read....
