agers took the survey across the United States. This survey isnt bias because it asked questions to both males and females. Also the sexually transmitted diseases are reported to health centers and hospitals in order to help cure them. I feel the subject surveyed was a very important issue. My sociology class was just talking about this subject a week ago. Some students said that sex was the last thing on their minds as teenagers, while others said thats all they thought about. The class came to the conclusion that it depended on who you grew up with and your surroundings. One student said, they didnt have sex until they were 17, and others said they had sex as early as 13. I know I started when I was pretty young. Looking back on it, I was just trying to fit in and not be called a virgin. If I could go back and do it all over again, I would! I was aware of diseases and that I could end up getting my partners pregnant even though we used protection. The subject of sex is one that can not be ignored. I feel that the survey needed to be done to let mothers and fathers know that their teenagers are 3sexually active. I know a lot of parents do not want to believe there teenagers are having sex, but they are. The only fear I have is that I have two daughters and I will be dealing with this same subject in about seven more years. I hope and pray this survey opened alot of eyes to both the parents and teenagers of today....
