ER
ER This famous name was given to this organelle since it has a rough appearance due to many ribosomes that occur along the ER. But don’t be fooled by its appearance! The rough ER does its job very well and will certainly satisfy whoever needs it. The ribosomes of rough endoplasmic reticulum fight to save proteins, surrounded by the harsh and cruel reducing environment of the big cytoplasm! The rough ER also connects to the nuclear envelope through which the messenger RNA (mRNA), which is the blueprint for proteins, travels to the ribosomes. See as the mutilated remains of spliced and modified RNA come into the ER to be transformed into hardy new proteins! Unlike some other organelles, rough ER is ready to take on anything the cellular environment can challenge them with. The best features of the rough ER are that there are no batteries or assembly required! It is completely readymade! Make the right choice and choose the rough ER to do the job. Bibliography:
