Similar laws were enacted in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, and Germany. However Hitler took it a little far.This controversial subject was not brought to light until Hitlers demonstrated his determination to establish a "master race". Despite popular belief that eugenics died with Hitler; it is still practiced today. The FDA has forbidden eugenics to be practiced on humans. So within the United States eugenics is only used on plants and animals.Id like to end in a personal note. All civilizations contain the seeds of their own destruction. With all our good intention and with the advances in technology, we have forgotten the solitude of simply being. The Law of Nature--Natural Selection-- may have been the intent on the master plan, however the human species has adapted, in mass numbers. So are we doomed for keeping a variety gene pool? Or is it just a matter of perspective? Only time will tell....
