The dentists would get healthier patients while the environmentalists wouldn’t have fluoride in the water.B._Fund Programs to raise awareness: Washington could fund programs to raise awareness on fluoridation. If Chelan and Douglas counties alone adopted fluoridation laws because of this, it could save up to 2 million dollars per year on Medicaid.C._Outlaw Fluoridation: This would serve the purposes of the environmentalists and uneducated voters.7._PREFERED POLICY: A._Selected Policy: Fund Programs to raise awareness: 1)This Policy would save the state Money that would normally be spent on Medicaid.2)One of the causes of the problem is that people are uneducated when it comes to fluoridation; this policy attacks the problem at the cause.3)The Dentists would be better off because they wouldn’t lose as much money by serving Medicaid patients. The patients would also be better off because they would have healthier teeth.B._OTHER POLICIES:1)_Alternative Dental supplements:This would not work because the entire fluoridation debate would start over again with the new drug. It is also hard for people to trust in a medicine named “YOW”.2)_Outlaw Fluoridation:This would not work because 62% of the U.S. already uses fluoridated water, outlawing fluoridation would only cause the tides to turn around in the fluoridation debate and probably just cause even more contention....
