[gymn - naked, dicotyledons (dicots) - woody or herbaceous and they have flower parts usually in fours and five’s, net-veined leaves, vascular bundles arranged in a circle within the stem, two seed leaves. [di - two, kotyl - cavity] monocotyledons (monocots) - herbaceous and have flower parts in threes, parallel-veined leaves, scattered vascular bundles in the stem, and one seed leaf. angiosperm - a flowering plant, the seeds are borne within a fruit.
