Even considering the other side of the story, it is still in our best interest to take care of this situation using the necessary force before it gets out of hand.That is just one man’s opinion, but I think either option would work and the whole world would benefit. Neither of those scenarios is very likely to happen because the U.S. will probably take a more defensive stance on the situation, but I would like to see it go down like that. The facts of the matter are clear. If the China/U.S. relationship does not change soon, if China does not soften its policy (as outlined in the white paper) on Taiwan, there will be an armed conflict. Our hands are tied in this situation, we have to defend Taiwan and there is no alternative for us in this situation. We can only hope that the leaders of China and Taiwan see past their differences and find a reasonable solution with the help of the U.S....
