Through the study of scientific evidence, it can be determined that creationism is the only possible and provably explanation for the existence of the world and life on it. First, the creationist theory of a 'young earth' is congruent with, not only all of the scientific phenomena mentioned earlier, but it is in complete compatibility with the age of the earth calculated through the genealogies in the Bible.By carefully studying the Bible, and the genealogies contained in it, religious scholars have been able to determine that the earth is approximately 6,000 years old. The astronomical facts I listed before all completely support this theory. According to the decreasing rate of the earth's revolution, the loss of one second per millennia, the 'old earth' that is so essential to the evolution theory is impossible, however, according to the biblical truth, we would have only lost 6 seconds worth of revolution, which would be barely noticeable. The 'young earth' reality is also maintained by the moon's rate of recession and the depletion of our magnetic shield. Under the statutes of the 'old earth,' the earth itself would not exist as we know it, but the over the 6,000 years of true existence, these phenomena line up perfectly. Some evolutionists try to twist the creation story in order to fit their way of thinking. While admitting that God created the world in the fashion and order that he did, they say that each 'day' of creation, as is written in Genesis 1, is not really a day, but a long period of time, perhaps many years, a hypothesis known as the "gap theory."
