o kill herself with his dagger. Also the Friar did not take into account all of the things that could go wrong while she is dead. His role in the play is defined in Act 5 Scene 3 when he talks about how he is responsible for what happened to Romeo and Juliet, And I here stand both to impeach and purge myself condemned and myself excused. Here he talks about the mistake he makes which lead to the deaths of the two lovers.In the end Friar did everything he could for the couple, but to no avail. Maybe if he had more time to work all the bugs out of his plan it might have turned out better. If fate had better been on their side maybe it wouldve worked out, had Romeo received the letter he wouldnt have acted so rashly. The countless mistakes made by the Friar are understandable, but lead to the tragedy. It was not just a single event that made him one of the most important characters, but all of them together, he had his hand in everything that went wrong after the marriage....
