Since there is so much fusion taking place, there is an immense amount of heat which can produce elements all the way up to uranium. This great heat provides the essential metals for planets like Earth.After several cycles of stars being formed and destroyed, there are enough heavy elements floating throughout the universe that when stars form, planets do too. Finally around one star, the sun, nine planets were formed. One of these nine planets would become suitable for human life, which would be Earth. However, once Earth was formed it took roughly half a billion years before it cooled enough for the atmosphere and oceans to form. These formations ultimately lead to life on Earth, as we know it.Though many people are firm supporters of evolution, many people also believe in the theory of creation. These "creationist" believe that the Earth, and all the creatures in it were created by God.
