First of all if you tell a lie you usually have to tell another lie to cover the first one up. For example, if you tell your parents you cleaned your room and you didn’t really. They may ask you where your dirty clothes are and then you will have to tell another lie to cover it up. That is never a good way to go. Another way a lie can backfire is you will feel bad. Everyone may not feel bad but if you are a Christian with a conscience you should. The Holy Spirit will move in your heart and make you feel guilty. There’s no point in lying if you’re gonna feel so guilty you don’t even want to do anything. Last but CERTAINLY not least, you might get caught. What is the point in lying if you are gonna get caught and get in trouble? There is not a point! It is comletly pointless to lie if you are gonna get caught and get in trouble!
