because every person has there own set of morals that they based on their religion and upbringing. If the justice system was set up to be morally correct, it would not be able to do what is was intended to do and that is to punish those who commit crimes large and small. Edward Kock said it best when he said “It is hard to imagine anything worse than being murdered while your neighbors do nothing. But something worse exists. When those same neighbors shrink back from justly punishing the murderer, the victim dies twice.”(Koch, 653) I agree totally. We as a nation need to stand up and take a stand and use the justice system as it was intended, to punish those who do wrong.
