ng the drugs. I also believe that more training is needed for law enforcement officials. There obviously is a problem with the current procedures that police officers are taking. Better or more training should be given to better educate police officers on how and what to do when they are suspicious. Many of the cases I read it seems that the officers did not act with training but with suspicion and that has caused the deaths of many innocent people. The last step I think is to for law enforcement to gain the trust of the community. Without this the will never feel like they can go to the police or feel that justice will be served when they have been wronged. Innocent people ared being arrested and even killed on suspicions and because they fit the profile. While this is going on average white guys like Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris walk the streets about to kill somebody and they are never suspected because they are white. In conclusion, racial profiling is a national problem that is lessening the trust in the people who are supposed to protect us. Everyday people of color are scared to do what most people do without a second thought, drive to wherever they need to go. Our country can no longer remain the leader of the world in freedom and democracy when its people are identified as criminals simply because of there skin color. We cannot afford to ignore this issue any further we must take action to ensure that this country is truly a free one. Word Count: 1613 ...
