Furthermore, according to innovative marketing, which is part of the enlightened marketing which supports the best long run performance of the marketing system, companies must seek marketing improvements. (Kotler, Armstrong, Saunders, Wong page 61) As a result most companies nowadays use environmental friendly methods because they have accepted responsibility for no environmental harm, as the trend demand. Therefore, it would be illogical for tobacco companies not to follow this trend as well. , In contrast, tobacco companies can stop the pollution at the environment caused by setting up fires in the forests from cigarettes for example; by promoting the importance of forests for the survival of the humanity.In addition in an era where, where educated employees praise the benefits of what ethics have to offer to a business, the only way that tobacco firms can continue to be functional is by applying sound ethics, by the regulation of the industry. Tobacco should see regulations as its social mission to make employees feel better and have a clearer sense of direction. This is according to sense-of-mission marketing which is a kind of enlightened marketing that supports that a company should define its mission in social terms.
