The endless taunting of their peers affects a persons self esteem and kills them as a person. This correlates to the issue presented in Frankenstein of discrimination. Frankenstein, a monster which was created by Victor, was discriminated against and thought differently due to his own appearance. Although the monster tried to prove his good nature, people just rejected him from society because of his hideous look.
