He feels that his grandma would not point him in the wrong direction. He has enough faith and trust in the community to precede no matter how much pain this was going to cause in him. Dorothy decided that this was the best time to tell this story because it backs up her teaching of intermixture of autonomy and community. The community opens itself to its members and leaves a hole. This hole is vulnerable and weak but the community has enough trust in its members to help each other out. Just feeling and not acting is not good enough for any one. They must act responsible and just not feel responsible. They must interact in order for this relationship to be a success. It must be done to achieve success in the many aspects of the self. The community has an impact on education: strength, courage, capacity, and concentration, ECT. Therefore, Dorothy makes it clear that the community needs to act as one and help to raise the self in order to be successful. When this circle of assistance is achieved, so is success....
