Everywhere he went he was the center of attention, all the while telling me all of the benefits of how they had improved every aspect of his life. The day his girlfriend discovered his secret, I thought this would be the time he would be forced to stop. After all she was a nursing student and should have understood the dangers of using powerful drugs. After several hours of discussion in the car they thought it would be best if she did the injections for him.While his muscles were growing, so were other factors that were not quite as attractive. It is common knowledge that the use of steroid has can very adverse psychological side effects, such as mood swings, paranoia, and even euphoria. While not immediate, as time went on these side effects were becoming more and more evident. During this period my friend and I both worked at the same business so I had a great deal of opportunity to observe his behavior. Perhaps the first thing that I noticed is that as his appearance improved so did his self-confidence. With his over inflated ego, it seemed that his patience and problem solving skills were deteriorating. Everyday he would show all of us how large his arms were. He began the annoying pattern of scratching his forehead as to see his biceps flex. It was becoming clear to me that even if the drugs were not addictive then there results surely were. It seemed the more that he took the more he needed to take them. Ever present was the thought that if he were to stop taking the drugs his gains would be reduced and he would return to his former state. I remember many times he said that he was all done of the steroids. Claiming that he had done all that he wanted to do and was now ready to maintain his new physique. However after a few workouts without the juice he found it almost impossible to not work...
