A study of 674 beaten children in California found that 91% of the children were wanted, compared to the 63% of the control groups nationally. (Lenowski) A study by the National Center on Child Abuse and Neglect showed that child abuse also increased 500% since abortion was legalized in 1973. The study also cited parental substance abuse as the major factor contributing to abuse other than the “unwanted” status of the child.Most Americans Oppose ItWhat really matters in the moral question of abortion are the views of the people. Today, most Americans believe that abortion is a modern change and that it is being accepted as morally right.
