I can only assume that he had to frequently stop to let his audience applaud, cheer, clap and show support. The words he chose and the way he used them were so intricate and greatly managed. The order of his speech was also fairly well organized. It seems that he catered to the audience and told them what they wanted to hear and used his audience as a way of knowing how his speech is going and what he should do. King used many techniques to keep people interested and supportive. His leadership qualities are very strong and he combined his leadership qualities well with his ability to write and present material. The way he has scripted this speech is nothing short of greatness, and this is why it goes down as one of the most famous and revolutionary speeches of all times.
