God
God First of all it is important that I qualify that my view of the Lord is not a derived conception from my intellect, but rather privileged revelation bestowed upon me by the Grace of God. If asked his conception of me, my closest friend or sibling would not answer in terms of far off observation, he would speak from his experiences and first hand knowledge of my character. I do not speak of God from a far off, separated position, a view delivered to me by theologians, or popular society. Thanks to the sacrifice made by Christ, I no longer have sin to separate me from God. Sin divides man from God, that was the consequence for Adam’s transgression in the garden. It took the Lamb slain to be the propitiation for our sins and re-unite us with the loving God who created man in His exact image, gave us His speaking spirit, and with the soul purpose of fellowship. God does not bludgeon His children with His commands, nor does he punish them into submission. For that matter, God doesn’t invoke wrath on the unbelievers, at least not while His body is in the earth. God has and continues to give every person, every chance and opportunity to receive Christ’s free gift and walk in the blessings designed for man. God draws by His love and by His love alone. Condemnation is not found in God. Condemnation results in guilt, which serves only to drive people away from that which is good. Conviction is from God, a realization of wrongdoing, albeit intense, that prods us to change. This urge to turn to God is brought about by God’s Holy Spirit. In short, I could run down a list of things the Bible says God is, but I will rather speak from experience. No one can refute me, they can argue and protest until they are blue in the face, but the God I know is one of intensely magnetic overwhelming love, HE is my Daddy and my father and my General. God is my truth, He is honor, He is trust, kindness, wise, a wonderful listener, fun to be with, and my very best friend. He is the Great I Am, He has everything I need Him to have, and He is everything I need Him to be. Oh, yeah He’s generous to. He delights in the prosperity of His kids. Bibliography:
