Bridge over the River Kwai

ls the Colonel to stop opposing Sito simply because of his pride, and he is ignored when he tells him not to have the wounded work as it could worsen there condition. Nicholson is blind to reason, to the war, to loyalties, to enemies, simply because of his quest for glory the hope that his bridge will stand for 600 years. In the end the bridge, his glory, returns to dust and he does as well. Certainly showing that the glory that raises up can also take away....
