secret room, but it was just Auntie and Uncle’s old bedroom. Since Uncle’s death, she had not slept in the room. On the few times we managed to get inside the room we noticed it was always clean. Her old orange wedding dress was hung neatly on the dressed door. This room was of most importance to us because it kept toys that were never used. Auntie wished to have children, but that just never came about. It seemed a shame to us to see toys not being used.I will never meet anyone else like great Auntie Anne. I will also never have a home as perfect as hers. I have not found a home as warm as Auntie’s because she cannot be in it. Auntie died in her sleep one year after I arrived in the United States. Great Auntie Anne was special to everyone around her, especially me. After her death I lost interest in the wild garden, old library, and the secret room. Her home would have just been an empty shell if she weren’t in it....
