d Joe and Biddy. He realized Joe was a true blessing. Joe was the only thing that remained constant in Pips life. When he became ill, Joe came and helped Pip get better. Joe even paid off his debts. Pip said about Joe “There was no change in Joe. Exactly what he had been in my eyes then, he was in my eyes still; just as simply faithful, and simply right” (472). Joe had loved Pip throughout his life and showed it when Pip became ill. Pips evolution was long and painful, but was necessary for him to undergo. He finally learned how to be happy and not judge people based on there outside appearance. He saw that by doing generous and kind acts, people can be much happier than if they had all the money in the world. Pip learned how to care for others and saw how much Joe really loved him. He was the only person constant in Pips life. Joe loved Pip like a son and he finally realized that. By the end of the novel, Pip manages to become a respectful and true gentleman. At the end of the novel, Pip said to Joe and Biddy, “And now, through I know you have already done it in your own kind hearts, prey tell me both, that you forgive me” (484). Even though he knew they had forgiven him, Pip wanted to hear them say it. All Pip wanted was to be forgiven for all that he had caused. ...
