aves us with something to think about. He says that he misses the pimp that beat him up in the hotel, his roommate who he got in a fight with and the guy who lived next to him in his dorm at Pencey. He thinks this is because by writing this novel, he told too many people. What is Holden Caulfield's word of advice? "Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody"(Salinger 192). This is my favorite book for many reasons. Salinger doesn't use large words to sound sophisticated. It really seems like a teenage boy wrote this book. The things he did, the places he went, and the people he saw make me want to have my own adventures like Holden. Once this book is picked up, it is very hard to put down. I always want to see what will happen next or what comment will be made about the arising situation. I can relate to Holden's deep, and somewhat insane thoughts. That must be why I have so much fun reading this book. This was my third time reading it, and it probably won't be my last....
