and nurture; he was raised in harible conditions that made him more evil than he was would have been. He is raised with no love and is even lacking necessities, this intern causes him to have serious problems and live a life that no one would want. For me, this book had little that I could relate with and I found it hard to feel and imagine what this boy went through. The story was good and I think that it could really touch allot of people but I just had trouble relating to it. When I was growing up my parents provided me with the best life they could and it was more than enough. I never had problems with my parents, they were always very close to each other and cared very much for my brother, sister and me. My dad had a great job so we didn’t need to worry about not having enough money for food or anything else we needed; we even had enough so that my parents could spoil us a little, which I didn’t mind. My mom was always around during the day and my dad came home every night and took care of us on weekends. I have lived in the county all my life and the only time we every went to the city was for things like baseball games or to go out to a nice restaurant. It wasn’t like this story didn’t have any affect on me but I feel that because I can’t think of any personal experiences that I can relate to this story then I can’t fully understand the emotion that goes along with it. When I was younger my father and I use to help out poor people with things like food or chores and what ever else my dad could give them, like running water in one case, but these people were not like the characters in this story. These people always had high hopes and were always high spirited no mater what happened. I don’t have any exposure to people like those in the book, "The Boy," and so I feel this is why I didn’t enjoy the book as much as others that have read it. ...
